Session 13: Modelling & digital twins in the hydrogen ecosystem

R&D research manager, Electricity Transmission Network (RTE)

Paul Plessiez is a research manager at the R&D of RTE, the French transmission system operator. He is responsible for the long-term adequacy modelling roadmap, which allows RTE to perform long-term studies to bring light on the coming energy transition and future landscapes, like the ‘Energy Pathways to 2050’ prospective study.

Paul is more specifically involved in the modelling of multi-energy systems for long-term adequacy and expansion planning studies, on the implementation of a more holistic view on energy systems and the associated flexibility needs and opportunities, and on new tools and methods to efficiently simulate and optimize large systems. He is also involved in R&D collaboration projects in this field.
